So Who Am I?

So I am me. My name is Cianán, and I am a 22 year old Irish man. I come from Ashbourne, from the Royal County Meath.

I've always been a very adventurous person, and that's why, after completing my Honours in Computer Science, I emigrated to Australia, with not much of a plan, and even less luggage.

Leaving Home

I left my little green country on the 22nd of June of this year, 2026. I had been working as a pizza delivery driver for a month after finishing my final exams, and felt like it was time to seek freedom.

I knew this move was coming, but like with everything, time moved faster than I knew and the day to leave was upon me. As I said goodbye to my friends I drank too much, I sang attrociously and I laughed. It was the next day as I packed hungover (praying for gods forgiveness) that I regretted my choice of actions.

The Way Over

While travelling to Australia I made two stops:

  1. First to the UK,
  2. And then to Borneo.

The UK

I arrived to the UK by boat. Normally a plane would be the normal course of action (it being a sub One-Hour flight, but my brother loved trains so we said we would do a sail and ride.

The sailing really is quite wonderful. The interior is elaboratly wooden, with brass handles and lavish chandeliers. Unfortunately, it reminded me of the Titanic.

We sailed for 4 hours or so, me sleeping, my brother in awe, and my mother joyful as ever.
